Book A Seminar
Thank you for your interest in my consultant services. I have been privileged to present countless seminars across the United States and Canada for the Bureau of Education and Research (www.ber.org) and for districts and schools on a privately contracted basis. My seminars focus on blending our current understanding of the brain and literacy with practical classroom application to arm teachers with the tools to make more informed instructional decisions. The quality of learning rarely exceeds the quality of teaching, so my emphasis is on changing the way teachers view the learning process so that each child is guaranteed success through flexible instruction designed to build on personal strengths.
Seminars are scheduled only on a full day basis, with a seminar day representing six hours of actual lecture time. I do not have a participant limit and encourage districts to combine schools within or outside the district if desired as a full day with the same group, two half-day sessions with varied groups or several breakout sessions. A great deal of effort will be made to create a learning experience personalized for your staff needs.
Once you have made the decision to book a seminar, I will send a contract and clear description of my needs such as audiovisual equipment and room setup. I make all travel arrangements including airfare, car rental and hotel. Expenses will be estimated so that a flat rate can be charged. Payment is due on the date of the seminar. A packet will be provided to support the seminar topic(s) you have selected (see Description of Seminars and Consultant Opportunities). It is then the responsibility of the district/school to duplicate copies for each participant.
Please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss your needs in greater detail or for information about costs and availability. My calendar remains very full, so it is strongly recommended that you schedule at the earliest possible date. I look forward to hearing from you to design a seminar that will offer your staff the most current information on literacy and brain research. |
